The PowerTrack® system solves the no-access problem. The result is system-wide savings without the substantial expense and effort associated with other electronic meter-reading systems. The system was designed to be a low cost solution, almost with no data transport fees, providing a reliable communication channel with a scalable architecture that grows with the customer needs. High reliability assures low maintenance cost with fully automated algorithms.
The PowerTrack® system avoids building expensive new power plants and expanding transmission capacity by implementing load control. In case of power shortage, the utility can shutdown only users consuming more than their contract. This method can be used to generate extra income for the utility. No need to develop extra power plants for extreme demand. It is a major save for the utilities.
The system brings a solution to the overall supply chain, helping the generation, transportation and distribution. It Speeds and increases revenue collection and reduces the losses by improving theft detection.
The smart meters and network connections provided by our meter management solution can provide many benefits to utilities. The solution is designed to supply accurate data in near real time, which can help:
- Assist with identification of outages and generate load profiles.
- Improve theft detection and speed response to unauthorized use.
- Enable faster responses to customer service requests, improving customer satisfaction.
- Identify line loss over the electricity infrastructure.
- Disconnecting non-paying users.
The De-regulation of electricity market introduced in the last years a model where various companies are responsible of Electricity generation, transportation and distribution. JnJ PowerCom has introduced a business model for these companies to work in handshake and avoid money loss. By installing a master meter at the output of the LV transformer, we can measure the total power consumption of this root. All other meters under same root, are reporting of total consumption. This data is essential to determine the losses on the power lines, which can extend up to 9% depending on the infrastructure.
By calculating this line loss, the distributor pays the supplier only for the real consumption they are paid for. This number enables the system operator to know if any people are tampering this network root.
The system automatically and continually measures the network and provides alerts and notifications. The software in the server is continually looking for changes in power consumption behavior and month after month monitors users which show un-normative consumption profile.
